Epson G6070 Full Tech Specs

The Epson G6070 uses Epson’s PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, a single head that was built specifically for DTF pigments. On paper it sounds great, and Epson leans hard on the “print and walk away” angle. One thing that is genuinely cool is the automatic nozzle verification. Roughly every 1.6 feet the printer checks for clogs, and if it sees an issue it runs a cleaning cycle on its own, so you are not constantly stopping to run test prints and manual cleanings.

This is a 35 inch wide printer, but you can still run smaller rolls if you want to. Since it loads film from the front, you do not need access to the back of the machine, so you can shove it right up against a wall or even tuck it into a corner in your shop. The touchscreen does a nice job walking you through loading media and gives you a lot more information than the Chinese DTF printers I have behind me.

Where things get tricky is the ink system. You are locked into Epson’s proprietary bagged ink and film, with chipped cartridges that are designed to keep you on genuine consumables only. Daily maintenance still includes shaking the white ink every morning and the colors once a week. On the upside, the ink has Eco Passport style safety certifications, so you can confidently sell to schools and kids, but you are paying a premium for that and you are completely dependent on Epson’s supply chain.

Physically, the machine is big and heavy enough that some owners have had to partially disassemble it to get it through a standard doorway, but once it is in place it is very quiet compared to a typical DTF setup with shakers. You also get Epson’s own software bundle, including their customized Fiery Digital Factory and Epson Print Edge, plus a mobile app for monitoring the printer, although how useful that is day to day is still something I am keeping an eye on.
